Role Details

As a leadership volunteer, you will be part of our committees of 10 to 15 volunteers who will work over the months to help us organize our fundraising events. Depending on the needs in your community, available roles could include committee lead, logistics, community outreach, volunteer lead, and social media.
Description
The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run.
This year's event will be taking place on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

As the volunteer
Registration & Finance Lead, you will be responsible for:

Detailed tracking of event costs and projected budget
Supporting the T-Shirt Pick-Up Coordinator with Tshirt pick up on event day and early Tshirt pickup (if necessary).
Training T-Shirt Pick-Up Tent volunteers and overseeing them on event day.
Setting up, tearing down, and supervising T-Shirt Pick-Up tent on event day.
Supplying all invoices and event paperwork to CCS staff partner postevent.

Your commitment
This is a 6month commitment (May through October).
Attending local committee meetings (generally biweekly to monthly).
Independent role work/responsibilities (approx. 68 hours per month, with increased workload August & September).
Must be available over the event weekend (October 5 & October 6)
