Hours:
Full time hours Monday-Friday (occasional after-hours/ weekends as required)
_ Responsibilities:
_
- Responsible for overseeing the upkeep, maintenance and cleanliness of the Company buildings and grounds
- Maintain and optimize a structure for maintenance and housekeeping planning, project management and scheduling
- Responsible for ensuring that all company equipment and property is maintained, operational and in safe working order
- Plan allocation and best utilization of space for inventory and equipment in buildings
- Conduct preventative maintenance audits and develop corrective action plans to address deficiencies
- Manage and lead projects to ensure minimum disruption to core activities
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Custodian supervisors in the hiring, orientation, mentoring and development of employees; collaborating with HR addressing workplace issues and disciplinary actions as they arise
- Provide overall leadership to the departments and establish a workplace environment that is engaging, safe and effective at producing results as determined by management
- Establish, track, and analyze supplier relationships
- Ensure all activities of the department are in compliance with policies, applicable local regulations, budgetary requirements, best practices, and the law
- Calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
- Review and report on all departmental spending activities and monitor expenditures on an ongoing basis including budget reporting
- Report on and provide visibility to management on status of maintenance and housekeeping projects
- Responsible for responding to offhours maintenance emergencies
- Responsible of the implementation of a CMMS (centralized maintenance, management system)
- Responsible for the historical and financial data tracking, Log books, major assets (Resto equip, Fridge, Hvac, UPS, Generators, Transformers, Fire suppression systems, Sprinkler control alarm panel etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum 57 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in developing and operating budgets
- Familiarity with industry regulations and quality standards (_HVAC, Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.)_
- Capability to complete tasks relating to general painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and heating systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field would be an asset
- Handson experience and knowledge to handle any maintenance issue involving air exchangers, heating or electrical systems, plumbing, etc.
- Skilled in communication in both English and French (written and spoken)
- Skilled in planning, organizing, analyzing and coordinating activities and establishing priorities
- Skilled in problem solving and decisionmaking.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate in a crossfunctional environment
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation _would be considered an asset_
- Solid computer skills, including Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets), excel and scheduling software
- Scheduling background
- Must be able to uphold the highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays when needed
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
