  • Responsibilities:
  • Partner, Contribute and Consult in supporting the delivery of a product vision.
  • Create, maintain and communicate regularly product backlog with defined Minimum Marketable Features or Minimum Viable Products and release cadence.
  • Identify and Define product features based on market research, customer feedback, and industry trends.
  • Continuously align with senior management on the product delivery roadmap, defined Minimum Marketable Features or Minimum Viable Products and release cadence
  • Work closely with the technology team to design items, prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that features are delivered on time and in scope of the established product vision.
  • Participate in scrum or Kanban events (e.g. standups, retrospectives), express new ideas for improving product value or delivery efficiency, sharing with leadership as appropriate
  • Create a valuefocused product backlog and continuously iterate, ensuring there are user stories scoped and prioritized
  • Provide user story design, development and completion oversight; accepting / rejecting user stories based on the agreed upon Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria
  • Manage delivery initiatives and oversee development team (pod) backlogs
  • Proactively raise issues that impede the efficient delivery of customerfocused increments
  • Responsible for defect management and prioritization

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that POD(s) in the Product Group are delivering value to the organization through the delivery of customer focused increments and outcome based products
  • Align with other Product Owners and senior management to follow a product vision, creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery blockers, continuously assessing customer feedback
  • Consider and deploy tactics to always understand how to maximize value, assessing how the product or delivery process can be continuously improved, create a positive work environment
  • Thoroughly understand and ensure that work embodies the Agile Principles of transparent collaboration and engagement.
  • Focus on your development to achieve career and business objectives, ensuring timely feedback, motivating appreciation and recognition to all colleagues
  • Develop short term roadmaps/plans for the Claims, Contact Manager and Fraud area that are aligned with enterprisewide priorities with a focus on results that are aligned to Operational Key Results
  • Facilitate key discussions and provide thought leadership with members within the Servicing Product Family, Journey, Claims, Business Architecture and various other key members across the Enterprise.
  • Lead, motivate and develop relationships with internal and external business partners / stakeholders to develop productive working relationships.
Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree and/or product certificate or relevant work experience
  • 10+ years relevant experience in Property & Casualty Insurance
  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Agile related Delivery Experience.
  • Ability to effectively work in ambiguous and undefined environment.
  • Complete work autonomously as a member of the product family
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience considered an asset
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience operating in scaled agile delivery considered an asset
  • Strong leadership, decision making and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to make datadriven decisions.
  • Deep understanding of P&C insurance products and the regulatory environment.
  • Experience working in a fastpaced, dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.
