SUMMARY


The Parts Process Manager is responsible for maximizing the efficiency, revenue and productivity of the parts department while achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction and employee safety.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Forecast department goals and objectives.
  • Work with the Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  • Prepare and administer annual operating budget.
  • Understand and comply with federal, provincial and local regulations that may affect parts sales.
  • Hire, train, motivate, and monitor the performance of department staff.
  • Schedule, direct, and support department staff.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Parts department staff to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest; with a goal to develop strategies for a more efficient operation.
  • Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer complaints immediately and according to the companies' guidelines.
  • Work with, monitor and assist inventory control personnel to adjust and minimize obsolescence.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews
  • Ensure all team members are educated on all products and services offered by Mid
  • Ontario
Truck Centre.

  • Promote and practice safe work habits
  • Identify and resolve potential safety hazards, operational inconsistencies and team member incidents
  • Document accidents, conduct initial investigations and determine root cause in the interest of maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Comply with requirements as outlined in the OHSA WHMIS, company handbook and all other company issued memos and policies including appropriate use of required PPE. Follow business code of ethics and communicate to team.
  • Work in conjunction with the Parts Director on special projects, such as Ecommerce platform, EV Technology and training
  • Evaluate and restructure current process and procedures to improve department efficiency
  • Travel between locations as required
  • All other duties and responsibilities as directed the Parts Director

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required to successfully perform the job.

Education and/or experience_

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manager or supervisor role with a truck or heavy equipment dealer, leasing company or large fleet.
  • Customer service experience in process improvement and management, decision making, staffing, tracking, budgetary expenses, analyzing information, developing standards, help desk administration and emphasizing excellence.
  • Minimum GED or ACE _
    Language Skills_
  • High standard of fluency in English for both oral and written correspondence.

  • Class G Driver's License
