The Solution Engineering Manager (SEM) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid) acts as the Technical Bid/Project Manager, offering essential engineering leadership, direction, and support for bids and projects. Here's what the role involves:
    • Driving technical activities and managing key milestones for bids
    • Ensuring design consistency with technical solutions
    • Supporting the capture lead and Bid Manager in defining scopes
    • Consolidating and reviewing engineering estimates
    • Managing the Bill of Quantity with input from engineering teams
    • Identifying and managing technical risks and opportunities
    • Overseeing resolution of issues and conflicts across the system
    • Directing and providing engineering leadership for project teams
    • Developing strategies and plans for project engineering solutions
    • Defining system development life cycles and processes
    • Ensuring compliance with standards and certifications
    • Coordinating with client and external engineering teams
    Key Accountabilities: The Bid SEM produces various essential deliverables, such as engineering schedules, management plans, and system architecture drawings, supporting seamless project delivery. Key Requirements:
    • 5+ years of system level signaling project experience
    • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Proven customer communication and technical management abilities
    • Leadership in people management and work packages
    • System design expertise in critical systems
    • Experience with CENELEC standards
    • College or University graduate
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • PMP or IPMA certifications are a plus
    • Degree in Engineering
