Job Overview:


As an Environmental Scientist, you will be part of our Brownfield Assessment and Development team supporting assessment and remediation projects for clients in northeast British Columbia.

You will be working a combination of office and fieldwork with a 20/80 split.

As an Environmental Scientist, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing work plans and cost estimates for Phase 2 ESA's and remediation projects.
  • Planning, organizing and executing field programs for Phase 1 and 2 ESA's and remediation projects, including soil and groundwater assessments.
  • Working with contractors to implement ESA and remediation projects.
  • Accurate field cost tracking of expenses and contractors.
  • Compilation and interpretation of the data collected and report writing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Drive to adapt new technologies to carry out environmental investigations.

  • Motivation to learn and constantly improve processes and tools.
  • A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in environmental sciences or similar.
  • Eligibility for membership in a professional organization such as AIA, ASPB, or APEGA/EGBC.
  • A minimum of four years of directly related experience in executing and managing site assessments and reclamation, focusing on the oil and gas industry would be an asset.
  • Clear effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent safety attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently.
  • A valid, nonGDL Class 5 Drivers license.
  • You must be able to meet the requirements of site access as dictated by our clients, which may include preaccess drug and fitness testing.
