What you'll be doing


Contributes to the overall success of the Scotiabank's External Talent Solutions ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.


Is this role right for you? In this role you will:_ _**:

  • Reviews current industry research to keep leadership team updated on market trends, competitor strategies and associated risks for the external workforce environment
  • Creates and manages relevant databases/spreadsheets to store external and internal data for ease of data mining on historical comparisons
  • Performs statistical analysis on both internal and external data sources to determine past performance and compare/contrast to current market performance
  • Prepares graphical dashboards on a recurrent basis to communicate trends to support teams, business partners and senior leadership
  • Prepares recommendations of workforce rates, suppliers and hiring strategies based on underlying data and associated statistical analysis
  • Delivers key insights on the story the data is providing: highlighting areas of opportunity to balance contingent worker talent quality and cost, and other opportunities that may impact policies and processes
  • Conducts presentations of key market trends to key business partners and team members; clear and succinct presentations that reach key decisions based on data points
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
  • Manages a portfolio of low to medium complexity projects which includes collecting and analyzing process data, recommending adjustments based on underlying data and implementation of solutions, supporting the alignment of partner expectations, project management and using metrics to measure and assess success and impacts
  • Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR, market research or equivalent experience
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably with focus on business, statistics or workrelated experience
  • An understanding of contingent worker / HR data and trends is an asset
  • Ability to investigate complex problems and making sense of information
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize large volumes of data
  • Good communications skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong crosscultural and crossdivisional team relationships and collaboration with stakeholders and business partners
  • Actively listens and seeks to understand needs with genuine curiosity to identify solutions through effective questioning
  • Results oriented and able to effectively execute in a fastpaced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to provide databased insights to provide program improvements and recommendations
  • Advanced knowledge of reporting tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical methodologies is required
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office products utilized for reporting and presentation (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SAP Fieldglass is an asset
  • Knowledge of Contingent Workforce and/or Procurement is an asset
  • Knowledge of Recruitment, Talent Acquisition and Compensation is an asset
  • Comfortable and willingness to learn new technology solutions is required
