Scope:
This position is responsible for the maintenance of material control, inventory systems and the shipping
eceiving process.
RESULTS:
- Material control systems which satisfy all ISO/IATF 16949 requirements
- Appropriate and optimized levels of all material inventory
- Accurate and timely information available for operations key indicators and material control records
- Timely material returns from supplier and customer rejects.
- World class materials storage systems
- Clean dunnage available for internal & external use at all times.
- Supplier on time delivery
- Transportation costs minimized.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ongoing interaction with production manager, suppliers, customers for production requirements, managing exceptional circumstances (expedites, release concerns, holidays, etc.)
- Maintain expedite log/ approval by department Manager.
- Purchasing of shop supplies
- Minimize transportation costs for outgoing shipments, incoming material, WIP and supplies.
- Keep the purchased inventory and supplies to an optimized level without slowing down production with waiting time.
- Monitor supplier/ shipping compliance performance as to specifications, safety, delivery, service and costs.
- Monitor raw material, workinprocess and finished goods inventory, maintain FIFO and optimize floor space usage.
- Monitor production use and scrap factor.
- Manage hold area and supplier returns.
- Coordinate dunnage cleaning rotation cycle and inventory
- Ensure that NAFTA requirements for both the supply base and for our customer base are maintained.
- Maintain master list of all Category A&B suppliers.
- Quarterly performance report
- Maintain customer and supplier contact lists.
- Liaise with customs brokers.
- Liaise with carriers for inbound shipments.
- Maintain Customer shipping standards.
- Maintaining and making corrections to Bill of Material/ Routings.
- Oversee Suppliers ASN's
- Performing Daily cycle count and Month end Physical inventory count.
- Maintaining overall inventory level as per corporate policy.
- Monitor & maintain dunnage wash systems.
- Creating tracker for overseas shipments.
- Work in compliance with Stackpole FPS Quality Systems, Safety Systems & Environmental Systems.
- Other reasonable request by department Supervisor/ Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in business or computer related studies or appropriate combination of education & relevant work experience
- Excellent knowledge of computers
- Excellent communication and liaison skills
