THE POSITION:
The Warehouse and Inventory Manager position is a role in our team that requires the ability to think on your feet, evaluate and improve our processes, finding cost savings and efficiencies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct, control and evaluate department's performance and prepare reports for upper management.
- Plan, organize, direct, and control the full cycle operations of the warehouse and production, reviewing or assigning workflow ensuring productivity.
- Develop, implement, or improve plans, operational policies and procedures for storage and distribution of goods, ensuring that quality standards and delivery deadlines are met.
- Oversee and improve inventory controls procedures, including regular physical stock counts, inventory adjustments, and accurate shipping/receiving, ensuring reconciliation of physical inventories with computer counts,
- Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future needs.
- Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.
- Review and process claims against suppliers.
- Logistics coordination of both shipping and receiving of goods.
- Deal with domestic and international vendors, carriers, and brokers; organizing shipping documentation and overseeing the schedule, dispatch and tracking of goods.
- Negotiate with carriers and transportation companies for services and preferential rates.
- Direct the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and production machinery.
- Member of HACCP team; facilitate a detailed annual mock recall as part of HACCP plan.
- Manage, train, and coordinate warehouse and production staff.
- Design and maintain an efficient and organized warehouse.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum bachelor's degree.
- 5 years minimum in a warehousing capacity within wholesale and distribution or 2 years of FoodPak Experience
- 1.5+ years in a warehouse supervisory role
- 3+ years of NetSuite ERP experience
- 2+ years of logistics/transportation coordination experience
- Strong understanding of inventory controls, product ordering procedures, RA's, VRA's, RTV's, etc.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office at an advanced level specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
- BC Drivers License
- Valid forklift License
- Class 2 Narrow Isle Reach Truck
- Strong attention to detail
