Your role as an Airport Operations Coordinator:

Airside Operations:
Assist the Manager, Facilities & Maintenance Operations in directing the Airfield Operations workforce to ensure that established work plans are carried out in an efficient, safe manner, and in accordance with Airport quality standards


Airfield Maintenance Plan:
Assist in the administration and implementation of airfield plans, policies, and procedures to ensure that regulatory/business compliance is maintained while ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient operation of the airport and its facilities


Winter Maintenance/Snow and Ice Control:
Assist the Manager, Facilities & Maintenance Operations in planning for winter operations, including reviewing and amending plans, manuals and procedures


Low/Reduced Visibility Operations Plan:
Provide ongoing support for the Airport's low visibility plan, and ensure compliance to the plan during low visibility events, as well as plan maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory requirements


Wildlife Management:

Act as the key wildlife management officer and coordinate/conduct training, safety assurance and ensure the necessary equipment is available, while working with the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance Operation to investigate and implement new wildlife control techniques.


Administration:
Support the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance Operations in maintaining the Vortex database, ensuring appropriate work orders are entered, completed, and reviewed, and that they align to published plans, manuals and standard operating procedures


Network Support:

Hamilton International is a member of the Vantage Airport Group, and as such, certain support is required throughout the Vantage Airport Group Network.

Support includes, but is not limited to, documentation reviews and updates, quality assurance audit support, emergency training exercise support, and other tasks deemed required.

Supervision:
support the Operations Management Team for the supervision of the hourly Operations, in a supervisory role that encourages teamwork and strong employee morale


Your success factors:

Post-secondary education with a Certificate or Diploma in Aviation Management

5+ years of relevant airport experience, preferably in a unionized environment, in a facilities maintenance capacity
Knowledge of CARs (Canadian Aviation Regulations - Transport Canada)
Knowledge of TP312 (Aerodrome and Recommended Practices) 4th and 5th Edition


Conditions of employment

  • Provide proof of full COVID19 vaccination (or proof of medical or religious exemptions)
  • Obtain Airport Security Clearance
  • Obtain an Aeronautical Radio License
  • Obtain an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP)
  • Some shift work may be required and must be available to work flexible hours.
