Responsibilities:


  • Reviews initial claims report to determine type of claim, insurer, and filing process according to insurer requirements;
  • Negotiates losses with insurance for settlement;
  • Works interactively with insurance adjusters;
  • Discusses claims with customers;
  • Collaborates with the Accounting Department;
  • Follows up with settlement cheques;
  • Prepares applicable paperwork relating to claim;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Must be bilingual in French and English both verbal and written
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to plan, organize and multitask
  • Understanding of leasing/financing
  • 1+ years customer service experience
  • 1+ years working in leasing/ financing
  • Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with workrelated problems
  • Able to work independently
  • Critical thinking
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Able to deal with confrontation in a professional manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
  • College or university degree preferred
  • Experience working in insurance claims is an asset
