- Operate and maintain chemical cleaning equipment and other specialty tools
- Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
- Ensure safety for all team members and property
- Provide quality services to our clients
- Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
- Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
- Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done
- Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
- Read work orders and designate proper hoses, chemicals and other equipment as required. If unsure, seek advice of supervisor
- Ensure equipment is properly decontaminated at end of job
- Other duties as assigned
- Valid Class AZ or Class DZ license with no more than 5 demerits in last 3 years is required
- 1+ years' experience in an industrial environment required
- Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Experience in the following Industrial Chemical Cleaning Projects is an asset:Exchanger Cleaning – 3 Stage Washes, Acid Washes, Cleaning –Various Chemical Washes with Passivation and Phase – Various scopesTank Cleaning – Circulation, separation, and Blows – Decompression, Pulse, and Continuous Air Blows. N2 Purging.Familiarity with large bore pumping systems (skid pumps and chemical trucks).
- Experience working with the following industrial chemistries is an asset:Hydrochloric, Sulphamic, Formic and Nitric AcidCaustic, Ammonium Biflouride, Soda AshVarious degreasers and degassing chemistries
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
- Perform physically demanding work (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
- Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions
- You have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safely
