    Description
    OST is looking for a Senior Fullstack Java Developer for a Contract Hybrid role in Mississauga.

    Candidate must be a Senior Full stack Java Developer with strong analytical and technical ability with 5+ years of full stack experience in developing applications using HTML5/CSS3/Javascript/React/Java.

    Has experience in working on complex and medium to large projects.


    Job Background/Context:


    The position is based in Mississauga, Canada and is required to review the day to daydelivery work, ensuring a robust process implementation, identifying project/programdelivery risks and work on risk mitigation.


    • Applies skills and knowledge of the business to develop creative solutions to meet client andbusiness needs
    • The candidate will work with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact,weighing various alternatives and providing recommendations. Responsible for applications systems analysis and programming activities.
    • Requirement gathering &understanding, effort estimation, technical design, project planning and monitoring.
    • Consults with users, clients and other technology groups on issues and recommends solutions
    • Accountable for all phases of development process—analysis, design, construction, testing andimplementation; Work proactively & independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges withenough lead time to address project delivery risks.
    • Providing expertise in technical analysis and quicklysolve technical issues during project delivery.
    • Customer interfacing - understand customer requirements, propose technical solutions.
    • Full Software Development Lifecycle.
    • Solves / works complex problems / projects through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systemprocesses and industry standards; performs root cause analyses. Provide technical guidance to junior resources.

    Qualifications:
    5+ Years of project experience as a full stack Software developer.
    Excellent knowledge of Web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, Javascript/typescript,JQuery, Responsive Webdesign. Very Good knowledge of Angular/Reactjs framework

    • Experience in using browser dev tools and extensions for development · Experience in Javaand J2EE with Spring, Oracle, Maven (dependency management, versioning, release plugin),Linux, ORM (Mybatis) ·Very good analytical, problem solving and technical debugging skills · Good verbal andwritten communication skills in English · MS (in computers, information technology orengineering).
    • Ability to work as part of team and independently · Interpersonal skills to interact with teammembers and clients

    Desired Skills:

    • Knowledge of Nodejs and Github libraries
    • Design patterns/Functional Programming paradigm
    • Unit testing frameworks and test drivendevelopment methodology
