We are building cloud-based tax compliance solutions to handle every transaction in the world.

Nearly every time you make a purchase, physical or digital, there is an accompanying unique and nuanced tax compliance calculation.

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Digital Content Architect to join our Digital Experience & Platforms team.

You will implement content architecture strategies guided by our information architecture for Avalara's digital properties on a global scale, and lead alignment of policies and standards for web content.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-visibility, strategically critical work for a company at a momentous point in a growing market.

You will drive a plan to manifest an information model and information architecture defined by the Information Architect across Avalara digital properties including automated menu systems and other web content.

You will work closely with multiple cross-functional teams to consolidate multiple English-speaking websites into a single English US site.

You will work with the Content Strategy team in developing and implementing content plans that eliminates redundancies, ensures consistency, clarity, relevance, and discoverability.

You will work cross-functionally with Principal Information Architect, relevant stakeholders, and Content Strategy team to understand, define, and manage plans including, content journeys across the site in alignment with marketing themes, and defining key performance indicators and opportunities to increase content engagement, efficiency, and effectiveness.

You will collaborate with regional teams to ensure a smooth transition and maintain cultural sensitivity in the consolidated content, evaluate and optimize on page link structures to enhance user journey and engagement, and use data and structure analysis to understand value realized and monitor performance to identify opportunities for enhancement.

You will define standards that can be used to govern content including p reservation, expiry, and archiving.

Demonstrated experience as a Digital Content Strategist or similar role, with experience in website consolidation, engaging end users to identify opportunities to improve the user's journey.

~ Strong understanding of information architecture and user experience design principles.
~ Experience leveraging content management systems (CMS) such as Adobe Experience Manager, SEO principles, and web analytics tools.
~ Experience with content analysis and optimization
~ Understanding of content modeling, (metadata, and taxonomy design) and languages (XML or JSON)
~ Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Communications, Information Science
~8+ years relevant experience in Digital Content Strategy, Front End Content, or Back End Content
