What can I expect to do in this role?: To assist and support the delivery of programs in Partnership Services Section, providing technical/program advice, supporting program reviews and analyses, undertaking a variety of projects/activities. Supporting agreements in accordance with Ontario Public Service/Ministry requirements, direction and accepted resource management and ecological principles.


How do I qualify?:


Eligibility:


  • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada;
  • Graduated or will graduate from an approved or legally authorized college or university with a library technician diploma or an equivalent degree or postgraduate certificate in the library studies field within the last four years;
  • Not a permanent employee in the OPS.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Technical Expertise

  • You have knowledge of natural resource management and ecological principles and practices associated with responsible land stewardship and sustainable resource management practices to assist with delivery of tax incentive, resource management, granting and education programs.
  • You have knowledge of online mapping tools and Geographical Information Systems
Analytical and Program Review Skills

  • You have analytical and problemsolving skills to assist in the review, analysis and evaluation of program data, the development of options for program improvements and general information requests.
  • You can provide support for problem/issues resolution.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation skills, with experience assisting in the preparation of, or participation in, stakeholder meetings or public consultation processes, training/workshops or responding to public inquiries.
  • You have the ability to work in a team environment to interact with staff, members of other agencies, service providers, nongovernment organizations and the general public.
  • You have strong planning, coordination and time management skills to plan, coordinate or participate in individual and team projects, initiatives, workshops, presentations, meetings to meet required timelines.
