Become a connected Construction Program Manager


The Construction Program Manager collaborates with Engineers and Supervisors in planning, budgeting, allocating resources, and providing timely completion of the project.

They also ensure that the project is completed within the set budget and is within the scope. Additionally, they ensure the project delivers the expected results and benefits.

Your contribution

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Program Management

  • Create detailed project plans using industry standard methodologies.
  • Coordinate contractors, engineers, designer, and architects with ease while maintaining excellent service to client in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Create, monitor, and maintain project schedule.
  • Responsible for quality of project meetings, ensuring minutes are properly prepared/reviewed and promptly distributed.
  • Report project status to the rest of the department and management.
  • Monitor, interpret and forecast project cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow
  • Liaise and coordinate with site personnel.
  • Participate in project closeout, including document archival, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work.
  • Responsible for quality of project meetings, ensuring minutes are properly prepared/reviewed and promptly distributed.
Contract Management

  • Managing contracts on multiple construction projects from preconstruction to completion, including design, coordination, budget, and scheduling.
  • Understands and enforces the contract documents and resolves disputes.
  • Manage change requests/change orders, including negotiating, processing, assessing cost and schedule

Working Conditions
The role requires being available on-call 24/7 to respond to critical incidents.

Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and manage stress.

he profile we are looking for
Requirements Experience

  • 5+ years construction management experience
  • 5+ years experience in project management
Education/Certification/Designation

  • Postsecondary education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field considered an asset
  • Certification in Project Management (construction) preferred.
Competencies

  • Ability to Identify and manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.
  • Ability to create and manage the document control process for a project.
  • Ability to write and administer subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Indepth knowledge of construction industry, including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, safety, and quality management practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cost and change management.
  • Knowledge of construction law and building codes.
  • Strong planning, organizational, time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project planning skills to ensure deadlines are met
