Become a connected Manager, Construction Reporting & Analysis


Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will act as a liaison between the construction/engineering team and the finance team to provide greater visibility on current and upcoming investments during our multiple expansion projects, and ensure the forecast for the next 18 months always reflects project changes and variances.

With an analyst working under your supervision, you will be in charge of creating, updating and sharing various trackers to monitor our construction budgets and timelines.

You will also participate in month-end financial reporting and analysis, along with various progress monitoring and reporting, cash flow projections and support during audits.

Your contribution

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the construction team to gather and analyze critical project performance information, investigate variances and initiate corrective actions
  • Ensure timely tracking of project status and lead delivery times, maintain financial forecast trackers aligned with project schedule at all times
  • Advise on any potential impactful change, measure financial impacts including cash flow impact, and recommend how to manage these changes
  • Review and understand items included in Purchase Orders
  • Assist with construction administration for the larger project: attending site meetings, taking minutes, reviewing changes, updating forecast accordingly
  • Deliver monthly reporting for the management team
  • Supervise one analyst

Working Conditions

  • The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet monthend deadlines._

The profile we are looking for
Experience

  • 7+ years of experience with budgeting, and/or financial analysis
Education/Certification/Designation

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
Competencies

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, driven/self motivated with a team oriented mindset
  • Focused on achieving goals and obtaining the necessary information to prepare meaningful reports and projections
  • High level of accuracy and efficiency, attention to detail
  • Curiosity to learn about Data Center business
  • Ability to handle tight deadlines
Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Solid computer skills: good knowledge of Excel functionalities (pivot tables, vlookups, sumif/sumifs, data sorting and filtering), Google and/or Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite an asset
