Established in 1836 in Quebec, Canada, Bishop's College
School (BCS) is an IB World School offering the International
Baccalaurate Diploma Programme and certificates. With a

About the Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend showcases during the offseason to scout potential players.
  • Coach the U16 team during the season with a focus on player development.
  • Design and execute practice plans with a developmentfirst mindset.
  • Analyze hockey videos to aid in player development.
  • Assist in player evaluations and team selection processes.
  • Collaborate with recruitment efforts to attract talented studentathletes.
  • Maintain regular correspondence with program constituents.
  • Uphold school rules and policies for all members of the program.

  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor for studentathletes.
  • Participate in community events to promote the program and school.
  • Assist in placing graduates at the next level of hockey or academics.
  • Provide equipment support, as needed.

Qualifications:


  • Hockey Canada High Performance 1 certification.
  • Strong passion and commitment to coaching.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and management skills.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fastpaced environment.
  • Previous coaching experience with a successful track record.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse environment.
  • Experience in a school setting, preferably private or boarding.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and computer skills.
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate within diverse and collegial environments.
  • Previous coaching experience with a demonstrated track record of success, preferably at
- high school, university, or professional levels.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a history of recruiting suitable studentathletes.
  • Demonstrated integrity, fostering academic and athletic development in students.
  • Track record of dynamic leadership marked by enthusiasm, integrity, and dedication.
  • Adept at fostering relationships with athletes, families, faculty, staff, students, media,
- alumni, donors, and the BCS Community, while engaging with department personnel.
  • Schoolbased experience, particularly in private or boarding schools, is advantageous.
