Description:


Reporting to the Director, Shared Services, the Manager, Learning & Development will lead and support the delivery of company-wide learning and development programs, policies, and procedures.


Role/Responsibilities:


  • Develop and lead a companywide learning and development programs that are aligned with Sanjel's values and strategic objectives
  • Working closely with crossfunctional SME, manage all stages of the learning lifecycle including curriculum design, content development, delivery, measurement, maintenance, and improvements
  • Collaborate with people leaders to perform learning needs assessments in support of achieving organizationwide learning and development objectives
  • Support people leaders and employees with the achievement of personal learning goals, leveraging internal resources, and/or recommending external resources
  • Gain a full understanding of Sanjel's various departments/teams and their specific training requirements
  • Develop a competency framework to support skills development to ensure people are trained to conduct tasks safely with learning paths for future career development
  • Design, produce, and facilitate learnercentric training materials/courses based on best practices in adult learning principles, both in person and online
  • Evaluate current and new programs by reviewing and measuring feedback from participants on the effectiveness and delivery of learning objectives and revising for ongoing improvements
  • Track budgets, negotiate contracts, build, and maintain relationships with thirdparty training providers as needed
  • Support organizational agility and digital HR capabilities by researching and incorporating Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) including evaluating training completion, training time vs. efficiency, user adoption, and emerging trends
  • Support Sanjel's employee experience by ensuring the best use of the learning and development digital platforms to support desired learning and talent management outcomes
  • Manage training records and conducting regular training audits
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning across the organization

Qualifications:


  • Post secondary education in Organizational Development and/or training management
  • Minimum of 57 years related experience in leading transformational and organization wide learning and development strategies for organizations in a safetysensitive industry
  • Effective strategist and practitioner with a solid track record of successfully driving and implementing learning & development initiatives
  • Experience translating current and anticipated business needs to talent strategy, priorities, and plans
  • Strong understanding of adult education program delivery trends and best practices
  • Superior organization skills, ability to effectively multitask, and attention to details while maintaining a view of the big picture
  • Proven written/verbal communication and training skills
  • Experience working with online Learning Management Systems (LMS), eLearning content development, and survey tools
  • Exceptional facilitation skills, both live and virtual, that keep learning participants engaged
  • Resultsdriven and independently motivated
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
