Position Information:

The Ottawa Hospital's Employee Services Team has an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and client-service-focused human resources professional

  • Responding to inquiries and providing guidance to our clients (our staff) on HRrelated matters such as collective agreements, sick leave, service and seniority, vacation, and leaves of absence.
  • Ensuring that all new hires, transfers and leaves of absence are entered into the Human Resources Information System (ORACLE PeopleSoft) in a manner that ensures accuracy and integrity of our HR data and compliance with our various collective agreements and the Employment Standards Act.
  • Collaborating with the broader HR and Finance teams including Talent Acquisition, Labour Relations, Scheduling, Occupational Health and Payroll to support both daytoday operations as well as providing counsel and support for lifecyclerelated matters.

Rotation/Shifts:

Days, 8 hours shifts.


What you will bring:


  • An undergraduate degree or college diploma in a discipline related to Human Resources, such as business, human resources management, or social sciences;
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources experience working in a fastpaced, unionized environment;
  • Demonstrated ability at building positive working relationships with clients and partners;
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion, and tact when dealing with sensitive or confidential matters;
  • Experience working with ORACLE PeopleSoft, or an equivalent human resources information management system;
  • Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams;
  • Detailorientated with excellent problemsolving skills;
  • Excellent timemanagement and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously and autonomously;
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

You will stand out with:


  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
