    An Intermediate Accountant is a dynamic individual who has a strong technical background and sound business skills and will work extensively to support accurate financial reporting and internal cross functional projects.

    What You Will Do

    Reporting to the regional Controller, the Intermediate Accountant will be responsible for the full-cycle revenue accounting, including, but not limited to:

    • Managing and contributing to the set-up and invoicing of all contracted sales, including both Professional Services and Cloud transactions across all entities (European, North American, etc.) in Sage Intacct
    • Working closely with the accounts receivable and customer teams to help understand non-standard client billing scenarios and promptly respond to questions
    • Managing month-end duties and reconciliations for a selection of general ledger accounts
    • Closely monitoring the accounts receivable subledger and submit journal entries to maintain an accurate account balance for month-end reporting
    • Ensuring data integrity across our systems including Salesforce and Sage Intacct and be the point of contact for internal questions on relevant customer data
    • Supporting the accounts receivable team with cash collections on an ongoing basis
    • Maintaining accurate documentation for all processes within your function
    • Supporting our financial statement audit by providing support to external auditors
    • Contributing to large scale projects that assist in Prophix's ability to scale our operations with our continued growth
    • Using continuous improvement methodologies, continually search for and take the initiative to improve and/or eliminate ineffective processes to improve efficiencies
    • Other ad-hoc duties as required.

    What You Will Bring

    To shine in this role, you will bring a rare combination of experience, technology skills, personal qualities, and education.

    Required Qualifications

    • 2-4 years experience in a similar role
    • Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related field required
    • Strong technology skills, including advanced Excel skills and experience with cloud-based ERP systems
    • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
    • Experience with multi-product, multi-currency high volume SaaS invoicing
    • Ability to understand multi-contract and complex billing scenarios process with a high degree of accuracy
    • Strong ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
    • Proven track record of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located. Must be able to travel to the United States, Canada and/or internationally, and have a valid passport.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous SaaS invoicing experience
    • Previous experience with Sage Intacct and Salesforce
    • Experience invoicing and working with companies across Europe considered an asset
    • Fluency in French considered an asset.
