Location: 8470 Keele St (Keele and Langstaff)


Shift: 12 noon to 9:00 pm

We are Public Transit accessible CMI is located at Keele and Langstaff in Concord.

A 20-minute bus ride from TTC Pioneer Village Subway Station in North York and a 10-15-minute bus ride from Rutherford GO Station in Vaughan.

We will reimburse for York Region Transit if you need to pay a double fare.

Here's where you come in

As CMI continues to grow we are looking for passionate people to join our Operations team.

As a Scale Operator, you will be the first point of contact to our internal and external customers and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and administrative duties associated with operation of the inbound and outbound truck scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate weigh scale, weighing in and out trucks
  • Accurately record weights into the system verifying scale tickets, and ensuring material is graded and paid
  • Calculate costs for drivers and customers based on vehicle weight, prepare and issue tickets and receipts
  • Ensure accuracy of tickets
  • Balance cash register for all daily monetary transactions
  • Complete daily reports, maintain logs, spreadsheets, and other reports, as assigned
  • Communicate with other employees to coordinate the movement of materials
  • Assist customers with directions and questions
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain order and housekeeping of scales and scale house

Qualifications:


  • Post-Secondary Diploma is an asset
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
  • Minimum of one year previous administrative or customer service experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Intermediate skills with MS Word and Excel
  • Strong accurate data entry skills
  • Strong English communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
