Major Responsibilities:


  • To report to the Production Supervisor
  • Machine Division and communicate all matters or concerns pertaining to the painting area.
  • To ensure required types and colours of paint are available in the work area as well as associated materials.
  • To conduct general inspection and testing of spray bath. Check chemical levels with Litmus sticks and record results daily in order to maintain tanks at the prescribed chemical level.
  • To load/unload materials on the line as scheduled by the Production Supervisor
  • Machine Division.
  • To move material on conveyor belt through the chemical wash to the spray booth.
  • To spray paint finished product with a ground coat followed by preparation and spray painting of final coat.
  • To ensure safety, product quality, productivity standards and costefficiency objectives are met
  • To obtain piece work ticket prior to the commencement of shift, complete the ticket in an accurate manner and handin the ticket at completion of shift
  • Abide by and actively support Lincoln Electric's Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of natural resources and the Health & Safety of all employees
  • To participate cooperatively as an employee within the company's GPMP and Merit Rating System.
  • To actively participate in company, staff or individual oneonone meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork, enhanced communication and progressive cooperation strategies within the department as well as other departments across the company.
  • To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Production Supervisor in a timely and professional manner.

Education Skills and Aptitude:

High school education or equivalent experience


Minimum Experience Requirement:

At least 2 years' industrial metal painting experience being liquid or powder paint
