About the Role:


This is a great opportunity for a high-energy, agile, motivated self-starter with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage the daily details of event planning while using big picture thinking to ensure the events support AGF's strategic objectives.

In this role you'll be encouraged to use your curiosity and creative skills to stay informed on trends in event planning, design and production to consistently provide high impact events and experiences.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing all event documentation and coordinates with internal partners to ensure consistent, highlevel service throughout preevent, event and postevent phases of corporate (internal and external) and external client/sales events.
  • Responsible for planning and executing inperson and hybrid including:
  • Sales roadshows / due diligence events,
  • Corporate events,
  • Internal leadership events
  • Charity events
  • Ensures that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage and execute on events to the high standard which AGF strives to provide to their clients.
  • Responsible for working with internal teams, executive management, internal facilities and external vendors to develop event strategy.
  • Manage digital event platform and work with partners to execute registration and event details.
  • Participate/comanage client virtual webinars via event online platform.
  • Source and manage relationships with necessary vendors and suppliers.
  • Lead site visits (cities, hotels, event venue) to ensure venues meet event standards.
  • Project manage event related projects.
  • Work collaboratively with internal creative team and linguistics team to develop creative assets / marketing material required for each event.
  • Ensures contracts and billing accuracy and conducts reviews with the stakeholder prior to processing.
  • Responsible for sourcing, ordering, and managing the suite of AGF promotional items.
  • Responsible for managing and allocating a promotional budget.
  • Responsible for managing and responsibly and effectively allocating large events budget.

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum 35 years event management experience, ideally in a financial industry corporate environment
  • Experience in financial services industry and with asset management firms
- practices/events regulatory framework

  • Excellent organizational, time management, trouble shooting, problem solving, decision making, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills a strong asset
  • Ability to take initiative, and work independently in support of team goals.
  • Interest in and knowledge of the investment industry a must
  • Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint
  • Knowledge of other presentation software and digital event platforms a strong asset
  • Assertiveness and influencing skills
  • Relationship builder
  • Ability to travel frequently within and outside of Canada
  • Event Management Course(s) or CMP designation a strong asset
