About the role:

D-Wave has an exciting opportunity for a Security Guard to join our growing team.


One position available:

  • Part time: 24 hours per week 12am 12pm PST Sat
  • Sun
***- Security Services Act of British Columbia_ requires all Security Services Workers to hold a valid BC Security License to be employed or employable.


What you'll do:


  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to security requests
  • Ensure the security of all personnel, visitors, and the general public
  • Inspect and patrol D-Wave premises to deter and detect unauthorized guests
  • Observe and report any security activities and incidents
  • Monitor D-Wave property access
  • Investigate and report any suspicious behavior, incidents, and security breaches
  • Communicate with law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, and fire departments when necessary
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies while controlling access to the property
  • Other adhoc building services duties that may be assigned

What you'll bring:


  • A Valid BC Security License
  • Clean background check
  • Relevant experience in the security or customer service industry
  • Excellent customer service and professional deportment
  • A high standard for safety and a passion for security
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Additional certifications are an asset: Occupational First Aid Level 1, 2
The hourly rate for this role is $20 - $23 per hour.

Actual compensation within the range is based on factors including but not limited to relevant education, skills, licenses, training and certifications, experience, as well as business needs.
