Team Lead - Marketing Operations Accounting to join our growing team in
Calgary, Alberta. This dynamic role will be instrumental in
providing leadership, direction and support on all finance matters related to Marketing activities, as well as being one of the primary finance contacts for Marketing leadership and the Commercial teams
Your Background:
- Postsecondary degree in Accounting or Finance
- Accounting designation such as CPA
- Minimum of 7 years' experience of marketing petroleum industry experience
- High level expertise in accepted accounting practices within the Oil & Gas sector including IFRS
- Direct experience with SOX policies and procedures and control review
- Ability to explain financial reporting concepts to technical staff
- Strong leadership skills and excellent written / verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of SAP, BW and Marketing Scheduling Programs such as Right Angle is an advantage
Your Role with Our Team:
- Responsible for supporting strategic vision of Marketing Finance
- Responsible for all accounting and invoicing functions including the accurate preparation, analysis and reporting of all internal and external Marketing financial information
- Responsible for the existence and adherence of adequate controls within the business
- Lead role in interfacing with front and midoffice teams
- Provide leadership and coaching and drive continuous improvement within the team
- Fully understand Commodity Marketing business
- Management of the provision of operational and production reporting to the various Canadian and US operations management and corporate departments
