The IMS Specialist will be working in our Integrated Management System (IMS), supporting the Enbridge Management System Framework.

This framework ensures that we can identify, understand, and effectively manage hazards and risks, and maintain compliance and drive continual improvement in safety critical parts of the organization.

This position is an integral part of the Enbridge Gas Distribution & Storage (GDS) IMS Team which plays an overall governance role within the GDS organization.


What You Will Do:

  • Work with EGI Affiliate Canadian Energy Regulated (CER) assets / officers to ensure compliance, assurance, and governance to applicable CER regulations. Extend the IMS structure and activities to our affiliates as the need arises.
  • Work with leadership to implement the Vector Canada Management System, ensuring that Vector is operating in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, and that Vector Canada assets are maintained for safe, reliable operations as per the Operating Agreement.
  • Support the implementation of improvements to address potential findings or recommendations from internal/external audits or verifications.
  • Where applicable, co-ordinate, report or build IMS-related metrics or complete governance reporting activities with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop processes and other documents relating to the IMS and provide maintenance and technical support in alignment with corporate records management requirements and documentation standards.
  • Develop or participate in Organizational Change Management activities (like communications or training) to raise IMS awareness and acumen.

Who you are:

  • Related university degree and sevenplus years' experience OR nine‐plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
  • Ability to influence and empower through flexibility, building relationships, and demonstrated leadership.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), facilitation and presentation skills a must.
  • Detailed oriented, working towards continuous improvements and great interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience leading medium to large sized projects using project management discipline and tools.
  • Experience managing contracts, accounts, and agreements.
  • Experience and understanding of Safety, Environment or Quality Management Systems and the interpretation of management codes and standards; CER Onshore Pipeline Regulations.
  • Experience in SharePoint is an asset.
Working Conditions- Occasional travel to main GDS location. A valid class G drivers' license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required.
