Responsibilities

Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings in 3D.
Complete and release component designs and documentation, including 2D drawings.
Operate computerassisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations.
Complete documentation packages and produce drawings.
Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
Write technical reports.
Participate in continued R&D.
Identify inefficiencies in the manufacturing process.
Prepare manufacturing specifications, costs, and material estimates.
Validate manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility.
Resolve issues and concerns with crossfunctional consultant's coworkers and teammates, including engineering, firmware, supply chain, production, and service.
Participate in the sourcing process and manage engineering relationships with suppliers.

Experience:

Proficient with Autodesk Inventor, CAM, CNC.
Ability to solve problems & create solutions with set parameters.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to proactively solve conflicts and bring resolution to technical issues.
Ability to effectively communicate technical details to others.
Leadership & supervisory skills is an assets.
Proficient with MS Office.
Experience with 3D scanning and metrology is an asset.
Experience with hydroponic food production, vertical farming & indoor farming is considered an asset.
Experience with HVAC, Control, Plumbing, Electrical considered an asset.

Prior experience in a relevant engineering field is valued, but the team has openings from entry-level to expert.

TBD based on experience.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Delta, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Knowledge:

Autodesk Inventor: 2 years (preferred)
Autodesk Autocad: 2 years (preferred)

Drafting: 2 years (preferred)
Odoo ERP MRP is considered an asset
The ability to communicate in French, Spanish & Mandarin is considered an asset
