    Job Description The Liver and Pancreas Unit is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Assistant III to join the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) research team. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, energetic, and will be immediately involved with research activities related to peri-operative medicine, transfusion medicine, and HPB surgery. Day-to-day activities will involve recruitment of participants for ongoing clinical trials, data collection and data entry, as well as other study-related tasks. The successful candidate will also help prepare manuscripts, grant applications, and research ethics board submissions.

    Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):

    • Bachelor's degree in a health sciences related field or equivalent
    • Experience with clinical research
    • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
    • Strong computer and data entry skills, including experience with electronic data capture systems.
    • Evidence of training certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and the International Conference on Harmonization – Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
    • Evidence of training in Food and Drug Regulations, Division 5, and/or Device Regulations, as applicable

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of French is considered an asset.
    • Previous experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC), is considered an asset.
