What you'll be doing
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the overall maintenance of systems, equipment, and tooling by ensuring completion of preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components, parts, and tooling; managing staff.
- Accomplishes maintenance people related recruitment and training objectives by hiring, orienting, communicating job expectations, and onboarding completion with new maintenance staff.
- Managing employees by scheduling work priorities, coaching, guiding, mentoring, appraising job contributions, evaluating performance, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Meets maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customerservice standards; resolving problems.
- Meets maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
- Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment and tooling by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements.
- Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment and tooling by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
- Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment and tooling by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and keeping up to date with industry changes or requirements
What background will make you successful?
- Minimum 5+ years in a maintenance leadership role in a manufacturing environment
- Millwright Red Seal 433A trade certification for the province of Ontario required
- Technical degree, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience (required)
- Dual ticket
- Industrial Mechanic Millwright and industrial Electrician (preferred)
- Proven experience with welding, reading blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings
- Strong technical, problem solving, planning and troubleshooting skills with proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process related issues to rootcause.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma is a strong asset

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Bolton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Maintenance Leadership (Manufacturing): 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- 433A (Red Seal) (required)
