SUMMARY

We are seeking a Bilingual Associate Project Manager (English and French) who is excited to be part of a team that is committed to creating new, culturally relevant curriculum materials that engage today's students.

The Bilingual Associate Project Manager will use their educational background and language skills in combination with on-the-job training in editorial processes and project management in the development of new and innovative instructional materials for Grades K-12.

The Bilingual Associate Project Manager will lead Bilingual projects while working collaboratively with the rest of the French editorial team to execute assignments to meet the quality standards for the project.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and facilitate project planning, regular meetings, reviews, support sprint, and release planning with the digital team to ensure all projects are on time and on budget.
  • Monitor project workflow, ensuring milestones and due dates are met or adjusted as needed.
  • Establish a relationship with the vendor and oversee the quality of the translated works by reviewing content and providing feedback as needed.
  • Assist the French editorial team with editing, researching, factchecking, and proofreading as needed.
  • Maintain trackers, file electronic and print records, process documentation; recommend improvements, create necessary standards, tools, and best practices, and document them as needed.
  • Adapt project plans, schedules, and resource assignments as required throughout releases to respond to emerging requirements and risks.
  • Learn and follow established procedures and company policies.
  • Seek guidance or clarification from supervisor when objectives or directions are not clear
  • Show growth over time in response to supervisor's direction and coaching
  • Provide accurate status on all assignments.
  • Initiate and participate in project meetings and discussions.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Postsecondary degree, preferably with a specialization in Translation (EN to FR or FR to EN) or French
  • Experience managing largescale digital and print projects for large organizations
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, including a good grasp of language conventions
  • Detailoriented, but with an understanding of overall project objectives and goals
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, set priorities, and adapt to a fastpaced working environment
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks on time with the required level of quality
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and G-Suite
  • Ability to implement constructive feedback to refine skills
