Your role within the team

  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the operational functionality of Candu Energy with a focus on training delivery.
  • Support the Director in the development of departmental training action plans across Candu which align with the business vision statement and strategy to achieve excellence and sustainable performance.
  • Support the Director in the development, delivery, and monitoring of training department budget.
  • Support the Director in succession planning to ensure a healthy leadership and engineering pipeline.
  • Implement and monitor training workflows and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Support the Director in determining training allocation, including which training should be included or excluded, while being in conformity with collective agreement obligations.
  • Assist in the preparation of Training Catalogue.
  • Implement and utilize metrics to monitor performance.
  • Prepare, analyze and issue various reports based on direction from Candu leadership.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed across Candu.
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session and maintain records.
  • Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions.
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external training as per Training Plan.
  • Assist in designing and developing training programs (outsourced and/or inhouse).
  • Work with vendors to arrange external trainings.
  • Manage complex and conflicting schedules using cooperation, prioritization, foresight and decisionmaking skills.
  • Provide support and resolution to the staff for their daily training needs.
  • Maintain tracking of the training databases, calendar, roster, evaluations, materials, and records for all Candu staff.
  • Interface and coordinate with SPOCs and instructors to ensure training is delivered as per Training Plan.
  • Anticipate and effectively work with conflicting and changing priorities, ensuring that deadlines and objectives are met.
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information as it relates to employees training records and personal information.
  • Act as a delegate to the Training Director when required and perform management support actions.
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate).
  • Advanced organizational and planning skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with expertise in MS Excel.
  • Proficiency in creating MS Excel pivot tables, charts and using complex formulas.
  • Strong communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and provide creative solutions.
  • Detailsoriented and qualityfocused.
  • Proven ability to coordinate both internal and external team building activities at a companywide level.
  • Experience with elearning platforms is an asset.
  • Experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role is an asset.
  • Handson experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting is an asset.
  • Broadbased business and commercial knowledge is an asset.

  • Bachelor's Degree or Post-Secondary education in HR, Administrative Program or related field
  • 2 to 4 years of working experience in similar field/industry
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance
