    Description

    Position Title: Industrial Mechanic

    Position Type: Full-Time ​

    Position Location: Carberry

    Roles/ Responsibilities

    • Knowledge of various equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, valves, and conveyors
    • Inspection, disassembly, reassembly, installation, adjustment, and maintenance of mechanical equipment on site
    • Troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify and resolve problems
    • Safe lifting of large industrial parts
    • Use of precision tools like micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
    • Pump alignment expertise
    • Proactive tool and equipment inspections
    • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals
    • Collaborate in a team or independently to meet customer needs safely and on time
    • Emphasize safety and accountability
    • Complete necessary site documentation and permits
    • Create inspection reports and participate in project kick-offs
    • Communicate professionally with customers
    • Ensure personal and collective safety
    • Adhere to safety procedures and regulations
    • Identify and address hazards
    • Encourage a safety-first culture
    • Perform other assigned duties

    Physical Effort and Requirements

    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
    • Climbing stairs/ladders
    • Working at heights
    • Various physical movements like bending and crouching
    • Prolonged standing
    • Exposure to different temperatures and confined spaces

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Grade 12 education
    • Red Seal Millwright trade ticket
    • Self-driven, responsible, and able to work independently
    • Strong communication skills and team collaboration
    • Previous industrial experience preferred
    • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
    • Mechanical aptitude and ethic
    • Knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
    • Accurate record-keeping skills
