Financial and Corporate Services is looking for an Application and Infrastructure Analyst II working with a team of IT experts into a realm of new and existing technology.

  • Perform complex endtoend delivery, design, and maintenance for systems within the scope of expertise. Make recommendations to the Team lead on tasks distribution within the team as relates to their assigned activity
  • Provide advice and guidance to support adoption of methods and tools in adherence to policies and standards
  • Act as a specialized resource with deep skills in the team's specific technologies; this work involves complex technology requirements which are generally not welldefined, require thorough analysis, ingenuity, and problem determination to develop and deliver current technological solutions
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:


  • One of the following combinations of education and experience:
  • Degree in a Computer Science and 4 years of relevant experience; or
  • Post secondary diploma in software developmentrelated fields or a related discipline and 5 years of relevant experience; or
  • 1 year related certificate and 7 years of relevant experience
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Other technologyspecific certifications and diplomas related to the work are an asset
  • Technical experience in a computing environment similar to the City of Edmonton's is an asset, including environments that have:
  • Experience with Aqua, ProQA, Target 911/BeeOn, Hexagon CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) and Mobile for Public Safety (MPS) would be considered an asset
  • An understanding of performance monitoring tools and procedures, as well as automated testing procedures is an asset
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills with a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to excel within a team environment
  • The ability to perform complex endtoend system integration, solution delivery and maintenance
  • Understanding City of Edmonton IT architectural standards, processes, and procedures is an asset
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and the ability to present ideas, recommendations, and proof of concepts to senior levels
  • The ability to function effectively in a fastpaced and demanding environment, often working on multiple projects which may have tight deadlines
  • Proven to use initiative, as well as organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate others, plan and track work, as well as strengthen and encourage team members and set a good example
  • Willingness to provide 24x7 oncall support

_ Up to 1 permanent full-time position_

Hours of Work and Salary:

33.75 hours per week - Monday to Friday, with the option of participation in the earned day off (EDO) program

$48.106 to $61.389 per hour (annual salary of $84,750 to $108,152)

40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, without access to the EDO program

$45.462 to $58.014 per hour (annual salary of $94,923 to $121,133)

The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time.

Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.

This position is eligible to participate in the City of Edmonton's Hybrid Work Arrangement program.
