- Provide administrative support to Pathologists and Lab Staff
- Answer incoming phone inquires
- Accession incoming pathology specimens
- Sending out pathology specimens to other institutions
- Management of off-site pathology slides and blocks
- Receive incoming faxes, mail, packages
- Arrange for additional biomarker/molecular testing
- Office supply management
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Office Administration Program
- Understanding of medical terminology; pathology, genetics and oncology terminology preferred
- Strong demonstrated use of Microsoft 365 applications and Adobe
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous pathology experience in a hospital setting is preferred
- Satisfactory attendance and performance record required
