The salary range for this position is:

Recruitment range:
$70,137- $77,330
starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.


Performance range:
starting salary to max of $91,214
is available through annual performance increases.

  • Job SummaryReporting to the Manager, Academic, the Curriculum Coordinator (Coordinator) is responsible for the oversight and development of curriculum for the ELC. The Coordinator is responsible for providing specialized services and support in the areas of program delivery, curriculum design, materials and test development.
The Coordinator provides mentorship and support for regular and term teachers to ensure the smooth running of programs.

The Coordinator is responsible for participating as a team member and building and maintaining relationships for innovative programs that serve the target market.


  • Job RequirementsThis position requires a level of education, training and experience equivalent to a master's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design or a related field plus a minimum of three years of EAL teaching experience.

Experience should also include:

  • Curriculum development
  • Administrative experience
  • Working with international students
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


Knowledge, skills and abilities include:

  • Strong knowledge of andragogical aspects of teaching.
  • Course design and blueprinting.
  • Outcomesbased programming and lesson planning.
  • Course material development.
  • Teacher mentoring.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, LMS such as Brightspace, Zoom and Teams.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proven track record achieving project goals on time and produce deliverables of a high quality.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population and with all levels of university personnel.
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated cross cultural communication skills.
