Reporting to the Vice President, Office of the Investor, the Manager is responsible for managing other team members and executing the Office of the Investor's mandate to support investors including investor education, research, outreach, engagement and policy.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Investor Education
  • Manage, plan and develop educational materials to assist investors in better understanding personal finance, investment products, risks and regulatory protections
  • Deliver impactful investor education and outreach through multiple channels and delivery methods
  • Collaborate with other organizations on educational initiatives.
  • Research and Initiatives
  • Manage, plan and execute research that assists in better understanding investor behavior, circumstances and outcomes.
  • Use research to support evidencebased decision making and test and assess policy proposals
  • Support research projects including procurement and dissemination of results
  • Participate in initiatives to better protect investors and advance the investor perspective within the organization
  • Assist in the development of investorfocused policy initiatives
  • Assist in developing and executing the Office of the Investor's annual priorities and work plan
  • Support the Investor Advisory Panel
  • Support the IAP in coordinating with internal and external parties and preparing materials for meetings and communications
  • Assist the IAP in any research initiative it undertakes
  • Engagement
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including investors, investor and consumer advocacy groups, regulators and others
  • Engage and collaborate internally to understand emerging investor issues and provide feedback on regulatory priorities and initiatives

Education/Experience:


  • Undergraduate degree
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience in investment industry regulation, consumer protection, investor education or communications with at least 2 years experience managing others
  • Strong expertise and experience in financial services and investments, with understanding of the complex and broad issues faced by the organization and industry
  • Experience analyzing, addressing or resolving issues directly impacting investors
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management
  • Experience drafting policy or educational content
  • Experience analyzing data
