    Tâches et responsabilités:

    Responsabilité 1: Soutenir les personnes touchées par un événement perturbateur.

    • Assister remotely or on-site individuals in need with empathy and respect for their privacy; document the experiences, needs, and challenges they face following the disruptive event.
    • Assess immediate and long-term needs, identify relevant services, and ensure appropriate solutions are provided.
    • Evaluate the needs, strengths, vulnerabilities, and capacities of individuals receiving assistance, collaborate on a recovery plan, and ensure their active participation.
    • Conduct follow-up meetings to maintain a professional and trusting relationship with those receiving assistance.
    • Thoroughly document all interactions to maintain complete records, ensuring timely updates and compliance with CRC data governance policies.
    • Ensure completeness of records in the Emergency Management Information System (EMIS), verify scanned documents, and report concerns to the Customized Support Manager.

    Responsabilité 2: Collaborate within a team.

    • Work with the Customized Support Manager team and related recovery services programs to prioritize the needs of individuals affected by the disruptive event.
    • Identify emerging trends in defined needs and communicate them to the Customized Support Manager and Operations teams.

    Profil recherché:

    • Hold a college degree in a relevant field with one to three years of experience in customer service, customized support management, disaster recovery, healthcare services, or a related area. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
    • Knowledge or experience in customer service, disaster recovery, emergency management, community development, social work, or psychology (or related fields) is an asset.
    • Ability to read, write, and provide services in English or French as needed, with knowledge of other languages being advantageous.
    • Proficiency in spoken and written English, as this role predominantly operates in an English-speaking environment.
    • Experience in challenging and stressful environments, particularly in emergency situations, is beneficial.
    • Prior use of database systems, including EMIS, is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and Adobe software.
    • Hold valid certifications in first aid and psychological first aid or be willing to undergo training.

    Conditions de travail:

    • The majority of work will be conducted in a clean and comfortable environment.
    • The incumbent may be required to work in disaster areas and under challenging, unstable (environmental, physical, social, etc.), and uncomfortable conditions (noise, odor, smoke, humidity) with vulnerable individuals. This rapidly evolving stressful environment provides limited information for decision-making and can impact the physical and psychological well-being of field workers.
    • Health and safety considerations will be addressed before fieldwork commences.
    • The incumbent must be available for unconventional hours (late evenings or weekends) and extended work hours in demanding settings.
    • Participation in community (minimum of three days) and out-of-community (minimum of ten days) interventions is required.
