Summary


Responsible for delivering quality software from Fujitsu's suite of software and integrated hardware platforms for the specialty and grocery retail industry.


Responsible for performing all QA related activities which include developing and executing test plans, test cases, test reports and report defects while ensuring thorough documentation and delivering software and hardware projects within project timeframes.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions of the position include, but are not limited to;

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities (First Pass, Rework, Regression etc.).
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  • Creates and oversees the creation and approval of project test cases, scripts and conditions.
  • Executes test cases according to test plan and schedules.
  • Participates in requirements & story reviews.
  • Experience with DevOps and Agile project environments.
  • Facilitate test plan review meetings with SW Developers when required.
  • Identify program variances from standards and suggest modifications.
  • Prepare test environments.
  • Research complex SW issues related to quality.
  • Communicate project status to project team and management.
  • Represents SW Quality Assurance in project team meetings and communicates results to SW other team members. Will be required to work both onsite and remotely from home as required by the projects.

Required Skills:


  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization from senior management to staff level.
  • Knowledge of functionality, compatibility, usability, reliability, exploratory, load/stress testing practices.
  • Experienced with working with Azure DevOps and AzureTest Plan, or similar environments.
  • Knowledge and understanding of network topology and setup.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing on Mobile (Android/IOS), Application, and Web based environments (Window/Linux).
  • Experience in working with testing and validation of AI prediction systems/models and machine learning algorithms models is a definite asset.
  • Experience with automated test tools Selenium, Appium and Cucumber is a definite asset.
  • Knowledge of Windows Platform, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
  • Excellent organizational skills and English language communication skills. Knowledge of Retail (POS) systems is an asset.

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Comp. Science, Engineering or other related technical field. Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
  • 35 years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
  • ISTQB certification is not mandatory, but a definite asset.
