    Job Description

    Our client is a leading Main MEP Contractor working on projects in Ireland and across mainland Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career with a leading contractor.

    Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    1. Overseeing mechanical installation quality for a large value, high-tech facility.
    2. Conducting equipment & material receipt inspections, fabrication inspections, weld inspections, installation inspections & documentation.
    3. Generating punchlists and de-snagging.
    4. Liaising with in-house mechanical team & subcontractors, and external project partners including vendors and contractors.
    5. Performing QAQC walkdown, inspection, and documentation associated with Equipment; Piping systems (carbon steel); HVAC ducting systems; Plumbing & drainage systems.
    6. Preparing test packs, witnessing pressure testing, maintaining and presenting weld information & records.
    7. Providing weekly reporting on QAQC performance, troubleshooting, preparing punch lists, and verifying punch clearance.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate should have:

    • Academic and/or trades qualifications in mechanical discipline.
    • 10 years Mech QAQC experience in Industrial-type projects with minimum 5 years exp in senior role.
    • Client-facing skills with good communication and presentation abilities.
    • Knowledge and experience of piping and HVAC systems.
    • Weld inspection qualifications and familiarity with EN standards.
