IT Project Manager – Bell Canada                                                                                                                                   October 2021 - Current

  • Successfully managed multiple IT projects with budgets ranging from $500K to $3M, including software development, infrastructure, and migration projects

  • Facilitate the design, deployment and migration of Microsoft SharePoint/Office365/Azure to the Cloud, including Identity Management components, in a complex, heterogeneous Technology and Business Application Environment

SharePoint Database Migration Strategy: Migrate TD Enterprise SharePoint sites from end-of-life versions / platforms to SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2016. To align with the bank's direction on maximizing cloud investments and deprecate dependency on on-premises infrastructure to move towards a benefit saving model (O365 Storage Cost Model). Applications owners engaged and seamless migrations taken place help TD move towards a more evergreen platform that continuously upgrades itself over time eliminating future currency debt.

IT Project Manager – Scotiabank                                                                                                                    August 2018 – December 2019

  • Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
  • Identified scope, functional, non-functional requirements and business rules, translated business requirements into technical solutions in agile, iterative and waterfall environment
  • Wrote Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) and SRS based on user requirements, these documents were then used to the business case seamlessly approved 
  • Created/Managed RAID logs which provided insight on project and was used to increase efficiency. The template I created was then used for other project which resulted in better project tracking and reporting 
  • Increased team productivity and efficiency by following Agile methodology in JIRA to translate business/technical requirements into Agile ‘stories’, collaborated with the Product owner, business and technical team for the elaboration of these stores, determination of acceptance criteria
  • Lead initiative to arrange access /onboarding / work permits for all vendors working on project and internal staff for people requiring access to offices/databases being migrated. This involved creating work permit and getting approvals. This resulted in a seamless fast approach which was adopted by other teams who used my template/contacts/work flow to execute a successful project

GTA Area Network/ Datacenter Upgrade: This objective of this project was to refresh/upgrade all existing network and facilitate upgrade of BNS Datacenters. This included enabling a 100 Gigabit Data Center Interconnect between our 6 Canadian Datacenter’s and move to a hybrid 1/10 gigabit connectivity model for our major Executive Office locations. Enable the network to scale to 100 Gigabit to service Scotiabank’s business needs, introduce a “cloud-first” strategy, digitization, and address the capacity requirements associated with the changing scale of work locations

 

Continuous Integration and Delivery (CIAD): This project provides a set of processes and tools to enable the adoption of Continuous Integration and Delivery at Scotiabank, and assist teams with enabling CIAD for their applications. The purpose of the project is to provide an enterprise pipeline for teams to provide setup licenses, design, build, configure, and support and infrastructure, which teams have previously been doing separately. 

 

Tangerine HR & Finance Transformation Project: Successfully transitioned ~1200 Tangerine employees to Scotiabank Human Resources Delivery model.  The scope included all HR systems, compensation and benefits offerings, employee experience and HR Services support and delivery. The initiative led to adoption of a co-existing strategy between both organizations while adopting a streamline strategic long term end state solution.

 

 

Scrum Master / Senior Project Control Officer – Scotiabank                                                                August 2017 - August 2018

  • Maintain the project files; this pertains to project documentation, approvals, drawdowns, spreadsheets, meeting minutes, monthly status reports, third party contracts and other correspondence and documentation as appropriate. 
  • Maintain the budget; this includes auditing items to be delivered under projects, reviewing the weekly and monthly time tracking reports for anomalies, ensuring all invoices have been approved with the proper sign-offs prior to payment and ensuring drawdowns are properly recorded and maintaining ongoing cost to complete forecasts. This includes full reconciliation of the project budget and completing investigations for differences as they occur. 
  • Acted as Agile coach and mentor to all levels of the organization to training/on-boarding new staff members to Agile practices and tools.
  • Improved team productivity by facilitating various meetings supporting development life-cycle and assist product management in maintaining product backlog.
  • Responsible dependencies between scrum teams and working with engineering leadership to ensure project reporting requirements are being met.
  • Reduced bottleneck in quality assurance with scrum teams by applying advanced QA processes and enforcing them
  • Act as the project secretariat; this includes preparing/distributing agendas, attending meetings, preparing/distributing clear and detailed minutes on a timely basis, recording, communicating and following up on action items and maintaining project distribution lists.

At Home Agents (AHA): Created a Proof on Concept (POC) related to Contact Center that would transition into a project if successful. The current AHA technology is outdated and expensive, this required us to explore other vendors with better and more cost-efficient technology. Once the POC was verified and tested it will transition over to a Project 

 

Project Coordinator – CIBC                                                                                                                     February 2017 – August 2017

  • Lead Project Coordinator dedicated to a project which involved upgrading all Contact Centers across Canada with newer business applications and spanned over 2 years. 
  • Support 3 directors and 9 project managers to control, manage, and monitor a large scare project
  • Create presentations and decks for various program meetings outlining updates and status of project
  • Responsible to chair meetings, create agendas, meeting minutes and status reports 
  • Facilitate evolving best practices by capturing relevant information at project closure to derive lessons learned.

  • Syntelate Dialer Upgrade – Scotiabank Call Center was upgrading its internal dialer to Syntelate Avaya dialer, this required extensive relationship building and coordination between cross functional teams
