  • The majority of shifts for this position will be Monday to Friday. Currently, this position is scheduled for 5 hours September to June There are no hours mid June to mid August. This may change with hours of operations. This shift includes morning hours and over the lunch hour. The occasional night or weekend shift may be required a lot of notice will be provided for these shifts.

Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA):

  • Job Duties:
To provide support services to the hospitality department in conjunction with the Hospitality and Tourism training programs. This will include dishwashing, cleaning, assisting with receiving and dispersal of food and supply orders. Assisting with banquet set ups / tear down and general clean up after banquets.

  • Sort, wash and return all wares to the proper storage area
  • Refilling chemicals and soap as needed, ensuring daily monitoring of chemical levels as per Sask Health Authority
  • Assist in receiving and distribution of orders - to labs, fridges, freezers, dry storage areas
  • Utilize three sink method to manually wash wares deemed unsuitable for the dishwasher
  • Close down all dishwashing equipment daily. Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and dishwashing equipment
  • Clean and sanitize all hand sinks in the kitchen, ensuring they are stocked with soap and paper towel.
  • Clean and sanitize commercial equipment as assigned, following cleaning schedule
  • Assist in organization of storage areas
  • Given specific direction, assist in table placement of tables for banquets
  • Given specific direction, assist in setting and decorating tables
  • Assist in full clean up after banquet functions
  • Organize buffet lines for various catering functions
  • Communicate supply needs to Coordinator or supervisor
  • Assist in decorating service and seating areas for theme days, special occasions, and promotional activities
  • Removal of recycling materials and garbage
  • Maintaining wares storage in an organized manner

  • WHMIS 2015
  • Ability to operate dishwashing equipment and disassemble and clean all machines
