The HRIS Analyst is a member of S&C's HR Technology team.


S&C's HR Technology team analyzes business requirements and determines hardware and software requirements to meet data management needs and may design new or modify existing HR technology solutions to meet changing demands.

The team is responsible for the development, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of human resource information systems (HRIS) associated with the effective collection, storage, retrieval, accessibility, and reporting of team member data.

The team ensures the accuracy and integrity of HR system databases and provides HR technology support to end-users.

The HRIS Analyst works under general supervision to provide support and analysis of people data. The position has a mastery of fundamental job duties and is exposed to complex tasks. The position researches and assists in recommending changes for new or modified HR technology solutions. The HRIS Analyst will also participate in various HR projects supporting our ongoing HR initiatives.


The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Consults with HR colleagues and other departments to determine HRIS needs.
  • Documents processes, identifies HR concerns and compiles data analysis reports.
  • Develops and implement new processes and systems for efficient HR management.
  • Optimizes HRIS processes, integrates new software, and performs diagnostic tests.
  • Performs statistical analyses on gathered HRIS data and runs queries.
  • Ensures integrity of data within HR data systems and the efficient recording and secure storage of HR metrics.
  • Independently troubleshoots, analyzes, detects, identifies, and corrects technical problems and deficiencies related to the use of HR systems.
  • Develops and maintains procedure training materials and standard work for end users and other systems administrators. Trains new users as needed.
  • Performs audits on HR processes and documents.

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, human resources, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience working as an HRIS Analyst or in an other related role.
  • Proficiency in HRM software, such as Oracle HCM, Workday HCM, Criterion HCM, and PurelyHR. Knowledge of and experience with Oracle HCM is preferred.
  • Exceptional ability to gather and interpret data, as well as improve HR technology processes.
  • Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train end users.
  • Experience in analyzing HRIS and HR performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in database management and security and running/troubleshooting SQL queries preferred.
  • Experience in documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests and audits.
  • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in HR information systems analysis.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • An understanding of what is going on within Human Resources including experience in employee movement data capture (onboarding, job changes, exiting) and HR record creation, maintenance, and retention.
  • Effective problemsolving skills.
  • Consistent demonstration of good judgment and discretion in confidentiality matters at all times (e.g., confidential information and materials).
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with strict attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.); Excel power query experience is a plus.
