    Description

    Mechanical design engineers/designers perform a wide range of duties to design equipment from concept to detailed drawings and ensure cost-effective quality. Some of their primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in mechanical engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanical designer.
  • Proficiency in design software-Inventor 3D.
  • Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and fabrication process.
  • Deep understanding and application of pneumatics, hydraulic, electrical components and systems.
  • Experience in piping design to be a definite advantage.
  • Experience with plastic extrusion machinery or web-handling equipment or die design to be a definite asset.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative.
