Reporting to the Manager, Metal Marketing, the Marketing Representative is responsible for assisting and supporting the Metal Sales marketing team to achieve the marketing plan.

Responsibilities:

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Assist Marketing Managers in developing and executing specific marketing and sales plans based on production availability and customer requirements
Liaise directly with Sales Administration and Logistics Teams to coordinate effective shipping schedules per customer requirements
Prepare sales and shipping forecasts
Assist with development of administrative systems to increase the effectiveness of the Marketing department
Assist in the administration and preparation of sales contracts
Assist in the development of effective logistics to maximize the competitiveness of the Company
Prepare work leading up to the negotiation of contract sales

Key Competencies:

University, or equivalent, degree in Business, Commerce, or a technical field such as Engineering or Geology
Three to five years of experience, preferably in coal, raw materials, or industrial products, ideally in a marketing related area
Comfortable in a negotiating setting
Superior interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Analytical and organizational abilities
