Position Summary:


Reporting to the Manager, Operations, Ground Transportation Services, this position is responsible for supporting the operations of Ground Transportation Services at Toronto Pearson to deliver a safe and enhanced passenger experience.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Prepare and review legal documents for the transfer of the taxi and limo permits in accordance with established procedure and all other applicable confirmation documentation
  • Maintain all electronic documentation related to Permit Holders, drivers and vehicle information located in current database; or any system being used to support the operation
  • Assist and audits the accuracy of the Commercial Vehicle Tracking Application (CVTA), Prearranged and all supporting systems including day to day inspections to ensure systems are running efficiently, reporting any deficiency for resolution.
  • Administer the taxi and limo driver testing program including marking of test
  • Assist the Coordinator, Commercial Vehicles with the response to queries and complaints
  • Prepare and maintain correspondence and other records relating to complaints, investigations and disciplinary actions
  • Serve as one of the primary contacts and liaison with commercial vehicle drivers and/or vendors (i.e. taxi, limo, hotels, outoftown, offairport parking etc.) to resolve daytoday issues
  • Assist in the preparation and maintaining of the department revenue and operational budgets, forecasts and accruals
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure bill rules and financial data in the Lease Management System "LMS" (i.e. Propworks or other similar LMS) is maintained on a timely basis, accurate and consistent
  • Assist Finance in the collection and record management of outstanding fees from Permit Holders and Operators
  • Work with Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, etc. in the gathering and processing of information
  • Conduct inspection of new and existing taxis, limos and peak period vehicles to ensure each vehicle is in accordance with the Conditions of Permit Ensure all operators are in compliance with the terms and conditions for their agreement
  • Assist with the coordination of winter operation, irregular operational procedures or any special operational measures involving Groundside operations including parking operations
  • Assist the Coordinator, Commercial Vehicles with overseeing curb side activities, monitors (including site visits) reports and recommends improvements to existing commercial vehicle operations and to the Groundside Operations Management contact.
  • Assist the Business Planning and Business Development teams with completion of Groundside Transportation related projects and assignments as the need arises.
  • Work requires working occasional weekends and evenings

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary diploma or degree or a combination of education, training and/or experience in groundside transportation services or equivalent
  • 3 years' experience in commercial vehicle operations and/or related field
  • Effective English verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Ground transportation and commercial vehicle operations preferably in an airport environment
  • Experience in managing budgets, forecasts, accruals, preparing requisitions and processing of invoices
  • Proficiency in all MS Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project and Outlook
- obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position

  • Valid Ontario Driver's License
  • Certified or able to acquire certification in work zone safety and traffic signs, Pavement markings, Canadian Parking Association
