Job summary

The Disability Manager is responsible for managing the organization's disability programs including short-term disability STD long-term disability LTD workplace accommodations and return-to-work initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design implement and maintain a best-practice work disability management program
  • Oversight of all Short and Long Term Disability claims ensuring efficiency and timely administration of the medical absence program
  • Coordinate workplace accommodations in compliance with relevant legislation
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to disability accommodation and return to work programs that align with provincial requirements
  • Act as a resource for employees managers regarding disability-related issues returns-to-work plans
