SUMMARY OF THE POSITION


Reporting to the Supervisor, Packaging, the incumbent performs adjustments and modifications of the various service equipment of the Packaging department while complying with or improving Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the Health and Safety rules.

The incumbent, from time to time, may set up and take down equipment during different batch changes.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures daily that the machines are in good working order.


Is involved in the continuous improvement of the department's equipment and procedures through his/her participation in the setup time reduction project, teamwork sessions, equipment modifications and implementation of the recommendations generated.


Maintains up to date and, if necessary, develops new setup and takedown procedures and participates in training employees working on the equipment.


From time to time, sets up and takes down equipment during different scheduled batch changes according to the established procedures.


Stays up to date on the new technology and the concepts related to his/her work through his/her participation in the installation of new equipment, by providing support to the attendants during startup and the debugging period.

Complies with and/or improves the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health, Safety and Environment policies.

Performs any other related task at his/her supervisor's request.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Diploma of College Studies (DCS/DEC) in Mechanics or Electromechanics or Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) with relevant experience (minimum 3 years in a pharmaceutical industry or related field).

Knowledge of the metric system.

Advanced understanding of mechanics.

High comfort level in analytics.
