Based in Ontario (Kitchener, or Toronto), This position will provide field work and technical support to intermediate/senior risk assessors in the preparation and submission of risk assessments in accordance with local environmental regulations, advice and guidance regarding provincial and municipal permits to our multidisciplinary (engineering and environment practitioners) teams and clients during the design, construction and operations of infrastructure projects.

You'll have the opportunity to use your specialized knowledge and technical writing skills as part of multi-disciplinary project teams to contribute to site remediation and redevelopment efforts of government and private companies.

In this position you will help the team identify potential environmental and socio-economic risks and work with the team to mitigate and provide solutions to our clients.


Here's What You'll Need:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology/Ecology, chemical engineering, toxicology or a related field.
  • Excellent data management.
  • Technical writing skills, familiarity with environmental regulation, and ability to be collaborative with a team contributing to the preparation of environmental risk assessments for a diverse range of projects.
  • Positive attitude and selfmotivated, including a strong consideration for safety.
  • Under mínimal supervision execute field work such as: Drilling and Soil logging, Groundwater monitoring well installation, Groundwater sampling, Soil sampling, and Collection of soil and groundwater samples for submission to a laboratory for analyses.
  • Perform environmental contaminated sites assignments including compilation of field and analytical data, analysis of analytical data, report writing.
  • Provide oversight and supervision of subcontractors.
  • Complete rigorous and clear field documentation and participate in planning, organizing, and reporting related to field tasks.
  • Experience working on active construction/remediation project sites and interacting with contractors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, teamoriented, and suited to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Time management skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks/projects and meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable of Federal and Provincial/Territorial Environmental Acts and Regulations in Canada.
  • Valid Driver's License.
