About the opportunity:

You have experience providing a full range of Internal Audit services across various business functions.

You have strong experience analyzing, problem-solving and conducting risk-based assurance on a spectrum of matters, and engaging with all levels of business stakeholders.

About the day-to-day:

Assist in the development of the annual audit plan
Manage and coach a team of internal auditors
Draft Management and Audit Committee reports on IA engagements and function
Manage, plan, execute and complete audits
Design appropriate testing approaches and sampling procedures to verify the existence and effectiveness of the related business internal controls, including satisfactory documentation of the processes
Develop rapport and relationships with stakeholders at various levels
Draft and help finalize clear and concise audit observations, recommendations and related reports
Translate internal controls and processes into business risks and practical mitigation recommendations
Discuss audit observations and recommendations with management and obtain collaborative and constructive feedback regarding the proposed adoption and implementation
Monitor and report progress to meet deadlines and produce quality evidencebased deliverables which meet applicable professional standards

About you:

As a leader on the Internal Audit (IA) team, reporting into the SVP IA, the Audit Manager is responsible for managing a team of auditors in planning and conducting riskbased assurance for the Peoples' Group business lines across Canada
5+ years of direct internal audit and business experience in various business operations
Strong knowledge of internal audit processes with a professional audit team using a modern audit riskbased approach and methodologies
A recognized professional designation, such as a CPA-CA / CMA / CGA / CIA / CISA / CAMS, etc.
Financial services experience with a federally regulated financial institution is strongly preferred
Regulatory, financial and operational audit experience is highly desirable
Familiarity with OSFI regulations, AMF regulations, Canadian antimoney laundering regulations, and / or other standards and frameworks would be greatly beneficial
Proficient with an intermediate to advanced working knowledge of MS Office
